What will people remember about you? In other words, when your name is mentioned, what will be the first thing that comes to people’s minds?
I believe "OUR LIFE MOMENTS", which turns into OUR HISTORY will out live us. So it matters what we are doing now in order to leave behind something so powerful that impacts generations, if not the world.
You see everyday we live, we are making history. Are you proud of the story your life tells?
That question stood out in my mind a few weeks ago when I toured the White House of the President of the United States, Barak Obama.
I stood in awe that I was really inside of the White House standing in the Oval Office where history is made everyday; history that impacts your life and mine.
I was in AWE that I stood in the highest office in the nation that is occupied for the first time in history by a black man and his family that will forever be etched in the history books for all to read. And although I felt so proud to own a part of that history because of my vote, yet it brought questions to my mind regarding my own life.
How will history play out and what will be the legacy that I leave behind?
What will be written in the hearts of those I love, serve, minister to, and empower as a woman, a wife, a mom, an entrepreneur, a friend, a sister, a mentor, a leader and a transformational life/leadership coach?
What I do know for sure is that it is up to you and I to make choices that are in line with who we were born to be and put in our best effort to fully become that, no holds bar. I realize that if we don’t play full out to exceed what we thought or even dreamt was possible that could make a difference in somebody’s life, then we need to ask ourselves what are we doing and for whom are we doing it for?
So today, be determined to establish your history and live your best life. Your story will be recorded in the hearts and minds of those that know you and those that don’t.
If you don’t like what’s been written of you by the life you’ve lived so far, then rewrite your story starting now. So that you can stand in awe of yourself and the greatness God put on the inside of you to display to the world.
Don’t just let life unfold and just happen to you. I know that life happens to all of us. Of course there are somethings that are out of our control, but the things that we do have control of we have to take responsibility for and manage them in a way that set us on the right path to make our story great…one that we can be proud and a legacy we are happy about!
