LIVING OUT OF INTEGRITY WITH SELF by Nashawn Turner

July 26, 2015

Have you ever felt like you were living out of integrity with yourself? It is so easy to not pay as close attention to our “DO” (what we do) instead of just our “WHO” (who we are). I believe that they both need to match up to live a life of integrity in order to gain the success that authentic living requires!

I discovered that it is crucial to keep our commitment to ourselves and to stop letting "self" off the hook from what we say we really want? I am the first one to admit that I am GUILTY of doing just that!!! For example, I stepped on the scale this morning and I realized that it lied to me. No. in reality, I LIED. I told myself by now, I will weigh a lot less then I do, but instead I weigh more than I did then when I first made the announcement.

What happened to me keeping my promise to myself and going after what I said I really want? My wake up call was that this was one area that I had been living out of integrity to my truth of what I promised me. So as I begin to put this area of my life on track (my "DO" with my "WHO") these are five lessons about how living in integrity can help you to achieve what you want in life & business.

Lesson #1: IT TAKES BEING HONEST WITH YOURSELF FIRST!

My truth said “this is not your best self.” Being out of control with eating and lacking in exercise is not a part of who I am and who I am trying to become. What I do know for sure is that I have lost weight before and I will loss it again if I just stay honest with myself and my choices. So I decided that it stops lying to myself and I begin the journey of walking out what I know to do with this TRUTH.

Think about it. What do you need to be honest about regarding why you haven't done what you said you were going to do for YOU? Is it not spending more time with those that matter, but you keep saying you don't have the time. Or is it starting that business you've been talking about, but you are too busy watching TV. Maybe it's writing that book or going back to school, but you are wasting your time doing other things that are not getting you closer to your dreams. Perhaps it is fixing a relationship that's in need of reconciling, but you've been putting it off for fear of rejection.  Whatever it is, be honest and face your truth. Begin to do what you need to do, so you can have what you say you want.

Lesson #2: BELIEF

As you believe in your heart, so are you (Proverbs 23:7). If you believe in something that you want can happen like weight loss, it can happen! Others can tell what you believe because out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth will speak. It is important to know not only what you believe, but to step out on that belief.  So fill your heart with faith in yourself and then demonstrate that by what you do. As for me, I have lost weight before and will do it again because of the belief I now have and the readiness to do so. What about you? What do you believe?

Lesson #3: DECREE & DECLARE WITH YOUR WORDS

What you SAY is important because your words have power to create and set in motion what you want to see happen. After your words are spoken, they place a demand on you for ACTION that is in agreement with what you just said! This brings forth manifestation!

Lesson #4: SET AN INTENTION & DO IT

Set an intention to actually do what you say your are going to do is critically. State it in a "NOW MOMENT" by writing or saying something like this….”I am setting myself up for success. I am in the process of losing weight and becoming healthy by exercising today for 30 minutes and eating  properly with prepared meals”.  When you do this, you will see how things will begin to come together to grant you the success you set out to achieve that day!

Lesson #5: MAKE YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE TO OTHERS

Sharing what you want to do with others makes you accountable to someone other than your self. This can help you to stay on track towards your ultimate goal. People are watching and waiting to see if you are a doer and not just a talker and they will call you out on your stuff. Integrity is doing what you say you would do even when nobody's watching.

So if you want your "DO" to match your "WHO" then remember to integrate all 5 lessons. This activates everything to work together in order for real integrity to kick in!

REFLECTION: Think about what has not been working for you and that is out of alignment with what you say you want and what you have been doing to get? Are the two married?

SUCCESS ACTION: Make what you "Do", "Say", and "Think" match. If they do not match, then practice the lessons daily until they become apart of who you are.
